The teams of the winning projects had the opportunity to present their talent to companies at the Discovering Talents Fair. They are students from fives schools with excellent entrepreneurial ideas: from the Catania Istituto Marconi’s Smart Class that provides its own energy to the Talent App presented by the Liceo scientifico Marconi in Pesaro that unites young talents in a virtual and physical space. Then, there is The Voice of the Park from the Rome Istituto via Silvestri 301 that provides information to visitors via smartphone, the MILVA Association that provides work to former students at the Ipsia Pacinotti School in Pontedera (Pisa) and the intelligent system for road crossing created by students at the Istituto Fermi-Mattei in Isernia.
"The projects that received rewards through Project Meet No Neet are witness to the great creative drive of the students, but the most interesting aspect is the ability they had to imagine new positive uses for technology, considering it a tool for sharing and collaborating and which can improve the quality of our lives. This awareness of the great social potential of technology will be the key to success for future innovation,” declared Davide Minelli, Social Director, Techno Impresa Sociale srl.
“I am really very happy to be part of the quality jury for this event which perfectly adheres to the values promoted by Avanade and for our commitment to support this type of initiative that promotes youth towards computer technology. We have seen all the participating projects and I was surprised by the quality and innovative ideas presented by the students. In particular, what most struck me was the SmartClass project that demonstrates the tangible benefits created by technology, in this case inside a classroom where students spend many hours, both from a didactic and physical point of view. Smart Class is perfectly aligned with the point of view of Avanade, which has turned passion in technology into its winning horse!” explains Gemma Fiorentino, Marketing & Communication, Lead Avanade Italy.
“Digital transformation has radically changed the industrial and working scenario by defining a new paradigm that is constantly evolving and creates new professions. It’s an opportunity that young Italians must grasp to express their full potential and great creativity, a distinctive element of our culture. As digital projects cannot be managed with a classical approach, as ASUS what we aim to do – along with partners that share our objective – is use technology to help and support education and develop the full potential of students. This project fits perfectly into our greater education programme that aims to use technology for didactics to identify and support talent and promote their ideas, starting from the awareness that what is necessary is a new didactic programme that fits the requirements of a new society and new generations,” points out Manuela Lavezzari, Marketing Manager, ASUS.
“From the privileged observation point of a great retailer, that of IKEA, we have recent signs that the consumer propensity is changing back to a positive sign. This is a cautiously positive indicator that supports this great initiative by our colleagues at Microsoft. Investing in youth, allowing them to become visible and funding their ideas are all indispensible to drive our economy into a new phase,” explains Valerio di Bussolo, Corporate PR Manager, IKEA Italia Retail srl.
"We are extremely proud of participating in this fantastic initiative that provides young Italian students with the opportunity to come into contact with prestigious realities like Microsoft. The enthusiasm of these students reminds us of ours from not too long ago and we understand that it is important to support their digital projects. It’s a great incentive to push them in the right direction. We believe that ideas, emotions and constancy are three ingredients that will have to guide these minds to face risk and believe in their abilities, also thanks to significant events such as “Meet No Neet,” declared Alessandro De Grandi, CEO, Garoo.
