Are you a university student who loves coding? Would you like to learn more about coding and help other students throughout Italy? We are looking for candidates! This summer you could be one of the protagonists of the Fondazione Mondo Digitale’s Coding Summer Camp.
This summer, the Fondazione Mondo Digitale will welcome young coding enthusiasts to the Phyrtual Innovation Gym (Rome, via del Quadraro 102) for a week of free activities dedicated not only to coding, but also to team building, leadership and problem solving. Our aim is to create a team of young men and women who will be able to attract students throughout Italy to scientific and technological subjects.
This is a unique educational opportunity that will also prepare you for the working world, an opportunity to promote STEM Education amongst young students and work to reach equal opportunities in the ICT sector.
By participating in the Fondazione Mondo Digitale’s Coding Summer Camp, you will have the opportunity to enrich your curriculum and acquire new key skills that will allow you to access an expanding professional sector.
At the end of the camp, the best participants - in terms not only of coding, but also enthusiasm and professional qualities - will be able to apply to become coding classroom tutors for the Fondazione Mondo Digitale.
In particular, we are looking for:
- Young men and women to work as coaches in the Phyrtual Innovation Gym’s Coding Labs. Preference will be given to candidates with knowledge of Microsoft technology and “Azure” Cloud.
- Female university students for coaching activities implemented as part of “Coding Girls,” a project promoted by the Fondazione Mondo Digitale and the American Embassy in Rome in collaboration with Microsoft to increase access to technological training for young women. The coaches, on tour in the main Italian cities, will teach basic coding to hundreds of peers in high schools and contribute to making women the true protagonists of the digital era.
If you are interested in applying for the FMD Coding Summer Camp, please write to f.meini@mondodigitale.org by May 31, 2016. Please attach your CV and a cover letter to the e-mail, specifying your knowledge of software packages and computer skills.
You could be our next coach!
