The collaboration between Würth Italia and the Fondazione Mondo Digitale was announced yesterday at the coding marathon held at the Phyrtual Innovation Gym in Rome, where170 students from 9 schools and 20 employees worked on developing innovative ideas to improve customer experience and recruitment processes [see news: Clicode Challenge].

 

The “Clicode Hackathon” launched the +WE - Würth Experience Project to promote the development of professional competences amongst youth, lifelong learning for workers and experiment new business models for Industry 4.0.

 

The 33 competing teams developed new solutions to increase the efficiency and attractiveness of the personal selection process and improve sales and client user experience thanks to IoT (Internet of Things) Technology. The hackathon teams were assisted by 5 coaches from the Fondazione Mondo Digitale and 5 experts from Würth Italia’s Talent Pool.

The Candidate Experience Challenge was won by Würth Italia Team Leonardo, 5 16-year-old students from IIS Leonardo Da Vinci in Rome, coordinated by Prof. Maria Sessa:

  • Leonardo Bisanti

 

Their idea is to develop a “selection machine” with questions and games totest candidate competences and make the company recruitment phase more attractive.

The Customer Experience Challenge was won by Team ALIP, composed by four students from IIS Alessandro Volta in Guidonia (Rome), aged 17-21 and coordinated by Prof. Rosario Gallo:

  • Gabriele Proietti

 

The team re-engineered the Wurth tool kit into an intelligent toolbox with led lights to allow night-time work and sensors that alert to missing tools.
