A City for Youth

A City for Youth

A City for Youth

Promoted by the Fondazione Mondo Digitale, in collaboration with the United States Embassy in Rome, Project Ro-Lab - Rome Live Art Lab involves students in collaborative work with artists, associations, creative cultural enterprises and citizens to promote the regeneration and reuse of areas in city of Rome. Following the Covid-19 emergency, the ten finalist teams have a new challenge: integrate their urban regeneration projects with “social antibodies” to fight isolation. This will be the first real-time co-design of abandoned urban areas in the city under lockdown. In this phase, the students will be supported by the Istituto Europeo di Design and the Quasar Institute for Advanced Design.

Tomorrow, Friday, June 5, the students will be involved in a live didactic event featuring elevator pitches of their projects to the jury. The winners will be announced and presented with awards during the final event (date tba) with national and local institutions, press, companies, youth and artists. In the meantime, once the students have integrated their projects as requested by the jury, they will have the opportunity to kick off their crowdfunding campaigns on the Phyrtual.org platform provided by the Fondazione Mondo Digitale.
