For its 13th anniversary, the Fondazione CON IL SUD organised the “Con il Sud che fa#” (F Sharp South) Event. On August 7-9, the foundation introduced a group of journalists and representatives of national foundations to the slow but significant revolution of Castelbuono [see press review].
It was the perfect opportunity to present the grassroots development model promoted by the “Fondazione Con il Sud” that has actively involved the community and developed a number of projects, some of which are still ongoing. Alberto Manieri, who participated on behalf of the Fondazione Mondo Digitale, presented the results of the 2016 edition of “Grandparents on the Internet” in Palermo [see news: Now We Are Very Close and 7 Citizen Hubs].

The video portrays all the legs of the journey: the Fattoria del Sorriso di Nataluccio that involves young men and women with special needs in activities with animals; Agrietica, the social agriculture project that promotes the insertion of disadvantage individuals; the Consorzio Manna Madonita that collects and sells tree sap and Project “Tutti Inclusi” that aims to make the Ypsigrock Festival and other cultural attractions in Castelbuono more accessible.
