On June 27-28, the Phyrtual Innovation Gym will host an intensive training session for social agents on promoting active ageing through technology. The course will be held by Cecilia Stajano, National Coordinator for Project ACTing – Active Ageing through Information & Communication Technologies, who completed her professional training course at Fundetec in Madrid (Spain).
The training course is the first step in a long educational process that the social agents will follow through May 2015. Moreover, they will also be able to rely on an on-line platform (contents and tools).
In September 2014, the twenty social agents will select a group of elders and involve them with innovative actions. These initiatives, which will begin in November 2014 and continue through to May 2015, will be held in the four project countries: Italy, Romania, Spain and Switzerland.
In May 2015, each country will select the best initiatives and insert them in a catalogue of good practices. The social agents will also have the opportunity to participate in the final competition that will select the best European agent. The award ceremony will be held in Geneva with all the project partners.
ACTing – Active Ageing through Information & Communication Technologies trains social agents to work in the field of active ageing to facilitate the acquisition of digital skills by over sixties.
