Job Digital Lab: local event in Turin

According to Istat data, 16.4% of Italian businesses with at least ten employees have adopted artificial intelligence technologies: double the 8.2% of the previous year. However, over 83% of the productive fabric has not yet taken this step. And among the smallest and most widespread businesses, the percentage of those using AI drops to 8%. These figures paint a picture of a country in motion, but at an uneven pace.

In Turin, the situation reflects this national scenario: there are 6,301 businesses in the city that use artificial intelligence (Unioncamere data). However, the survey Small Businesses and AI, conducted at the end of 2025 by the CNA Research Department on over 2,500 small businesses, confirms that the picture is still evolving: 35.6% have already adopted at least one AI tool, while 15.4% are considering doing so in the near future. The real critical issue, however, is another: 56.7% of the companies surveyed say they still do not understand what could really be useful for their business, and 40.3% report a lack of internal skills. This gap is not technological, but cultural and educational.

It is in this context that Job Digital Lab, the free digital training programme created by Fondazione Mondo Digitale and ING Italia, arrives in Turin as part of its regional tour. The event, in collaboration with CNA Torino and Camera di commercio di Torino, will take place on Wednesday 11 March, from 2pm to 5.30pm, at the Confederation's headquarters in Via Francesco Millio 26.

It is not enough to adopt AI. You have to know how to manage it.

The title of the event, “Entrepreneurship, artificial intelligence and the need to ask the right questions”, says it all. Why introduce AI? What problem do we want to solve? How will it change our daily work? The risk today is not just falling behind: it is moving forward in the wrong way, adopting powerful tools without having clarified objectives, impacts and consequences.

Starting from the daily activities of businesses - administration, communication, internal management - the event will explore the “before and after” of AI use, with concrete examples, real cases and a space dedicated to women's entrepreneurial experiences, where tradition and innovation meet and reinforce each other.

The programme

The event opens with institutional greetings from Rosanna Ventrella Grimaldi (President of CNA Turin), Guido Cerrato (Director of the Turin Chamber of Commerce), Cecilia Stajano (Fondazione Mondo Digitale) and Giuseppina Collazzo (Head of Business Banking Digital Experience, ING Italia).

This will be followed by the panel discussion “From Italy to Europe: artificial intelligence as a driver for business”, moderated by Vitaliano Alessio Stefanoni (CNA Piedmont), with contributions from Valeria Liuni (AI4I – The Italian Institute of Artificial Intelligence), Enrico Capirone (National President of CNA Communication and Advanced Tertiary Sector) and Cosmin Dumitrescu (Consul General of Romania in Turin).

The training session “From magic to engineering. Innovating work processes with AI” will be led by Andrea Boscaro, founder of The Vortex: not just theory, but also live demonstrations on chatbots, agents and prompting techniques applied to craft businesses and services.

Before the conclusion of the proceedings with Gisella Roggero (coordinator of CNAcademy), there will be space for testimonials from the territory: two Turin-based entrepreneurial case histories presented by Rosanna Ventrella Grimaldi (also sole director of Sys Tek srl) and Redona Tela, SEO specialist.

For those who want to go deeper: the webinar series

But the training does not stop with the Turin event: participants will be able to explore the topics covered in greater depth with a series of three free webinars: “Artificial intelligence for businesses and professionals: from the basics to application in work processes”. Three online events - on 18, 24 and 31 March 2026 - for a progressive course: from the fundamentals of generative AI to advanced prompting, to the guided creation of a first AI agent.

Concrete tools for the self-employed

During the event, ING Italia will present Arancio Business, the new account designed for VAT-registered individuals, freelancers and sole traders. This offer is the result of listening directly to the needs of the self-employed: simple management, transparent costs, integrated digital services. Because training in skills is the first step, but having the right tools to manage your business is the second.

The event is free and open to entrepreneurs, freelancers and VAT number holders.
