A Bridge with Brazil

“All’s well here. It’s hot, but breezy and it rains often. Today, we participated in the first day of matches.” The first person to write from us from João Pessoa, where the RoboCup Robotics World Championship is being held (19-25 July), is Prof. Paolo Torda, the coach of Team SPQR Levis from Itis Galileo Galileiin Rome (see the news on Robotic Relay).

We have a good team. The kids are clever and always find a solution to any problem. They won the first two individual matches: the first against a Portuguese team (16-2) and the second against a German (13-7) team.

During the afternoon, we lost the superteam challenge (5 teams) badly due to problems with the robot. Soon, we’re off to dinner and then we’ll keep the kids company, as they have to work on their robots.

The Fondazione Mondo Digitale wishes the best of luck to the teams that grew up at the RomeCup. Go!
