Three intensive appointments between December 2018 and February 2019 will explore the potential of digital technology for the prevention and cure of diseases. SITI will experiment with specific training for its public health professionals in digital learning environments with immersive and automatic tools.
The mini-course on “Digital Transformation in the Health Sector” will provide 24 professionals, selected by SITI, with an experiential education on a range of cutting-edge technological developments for scientific research and the improvement of hygiene services (awareness raising, prevention, organisation and service). This is a concrete tool for the development of innovative solutions that will make services more resilient, accessible and efficient. The programme has been developed by ECM Scientific Director Carlo Signorelli, Professor of Hygiene and Public Health, and for the digital part, Prof. Alfonso Molina, Personal Chair in Technology Strategy, University of Edinburgh and Scientific Director of the Fondazione Mondo Digitale. The Digital Academy was developed with the support of MSD ITALIA srl.
On January 18-19, the health professionals will return to the labs at the Phyrtual Innovation Gym to learn more about blockchain and augmented reality for awareness raising activities related to required paediatric vaccinations.
