An entire week dedicated to digital skills with a strong focus on didactic innovation begins next Monday, April 20, as part of Project Digital Literacy in the Schools of Rome, promoted by the Rome Città Educativa.
 
For School Year 2014-2015 the project aimed to "provide concrete, strategic answers to the training needs of teachers and educators, so that schools can kick off pilot courses leading to innovative teaching processes and a complete change in the didactic model via the adoption of technological tools that will expand the formal curriculum to life skills.”
 
THE PROGRAMME
 
The 7th Thematic Week includes a series of events that will be held at the Rome Città Educativa (via del Quadraro 102) and around the city. Here are the main events and locations:
 
Monday, April 20: Istituto comprensivo Via Casalotti will welcome 100 teachers for a lab on Mobile Technology for Didactics.
 
Tuesday, April 21: Mobile technology lab with primary students at the Istituto comprensivo Antonio Rosmini and Rita Levi Montalcini.
 
Wednesday, April 22: workshop by Ludoteca del Registro.it, a project by the CNR Istituto di Informatica e telematica (Pisa) at the Rome Città Educativa. The workshop, which is reserved for primary school class years 3-5, addresses issues including the Internet, safe usage and multimedia applications.
During the course of the day, State Undersecretary to the Council of Ministers, Sandro Gozi, will visit the Phyrtual Innovation Gym labs at the Rome Città Educativa.
 
Thursday, April 23: Mobile technology lab with first-degree secondary school students at the Istituto comprensivo W. A. Mozart and Luigi Di Liegro (formerly Via Cortina).
 
Friday, April 24: Mobile technology lab with first-degree secondary school students at the Istituto comprensivo Antonio Rosmini and IIS Leonardo Da Vinci.
 
Over the weekend, the Phyrtual Innovation Gym will host a variety of labs for all age groups.
