The week of 13–19 April highlights the systemic and multi-level nature of the Fondazione Mondo Digitale’s activities: an educational ecosystem that connects regions, communities and international contexts, linking education, work and citizenship.
Alongside ongoing programmes such as Job Digital Lab, Coding Girls & Women and Digital Bridge, which support students and adults in developing digital and soft skills, the global dimension of the initiative is being strengthened through the activities of the ICT Employment Generation project in Mozambique, which this week is delivering training modules dedicated to collaborative work and the effective use of digital tools.
At the same time, initiatives with a strong focus on training and local engagement are being consolidated: the Roll Cloud hackathon in Turin, a convergence of learning and design, and the immersive AI Jump! workshop in Palermo, geared towards the accelerated development of workplace skills.
Of particular importance are also the activities supporting digital citizenship, with the webinar dedicated to Digital Facilitation Centres, and the numerous Smart & Safe sessions organised with the help of Microsoft volunteers, who bring up-to-date content on security, awareness and the critical use of technology into schools.
Taken together, the week’s initiatives outline an educational model that goes beyond the mere transmission of content, instead building active, distributed and impact-oriented learning environments, in which digital skills become a concrete lever for inclusion, employability and participation, both in Italy and internationally.
