The first international conference of Project SonetBull - Practices and Competences in Dealing with Bullying in School begins today in Lieges, organized by Belgian partner Inforef.

The aim of the conference is to review the phenomenon of bullying in EU project partner countries (Belgium, Greece, Ireland and Italy) and compare good practices to contrast and prevent it.

Participants include representatives from the Catholic University of Louvain, Université de Paix and partner organisations: Fondazione Mondo Digitale, Hellenic Open University, Dublin City University, Computer Technology Institute & Press Diophantus.

During the conference, project partners will also present the research report on national policies and strategies in place in partners countries to contrast bullying in schools. The publication will be available shortly on the project website: www.sonetbull.eu.

The conference programme is available on the Inforef site.

Moreover, on May 28, the second project meeting will be held at the Haute Ecole HELMo Sainte-Croix in Lieges to discuss the pedagogic approaches developed for the European platform that will be available on the official project website.

The platform will provide teachers and interested parties with accredited training material on school bullying and training courses based on peer learning and crowdsourcing techniques.
