Active Grandparents in Catania

The IIS Marconi-Mangano School in Catania, directed by Egidio Pagano, is hosting the new version of Grandparents on the Internet: "Active Grandparents 4.0" through which the school collaborates with Cittadinanzattiva and the Court for Patients’ Rights, as well as addressing issues concerning health and public health services.

Didactic activities are coordinated by Science and Biology Professor Vincenzina Pastore, who has guided entire generations of digital facilitators.

The first meeting of the project was held yesterday with the Regional Secretary of Cittadinanzattiva, Giuseppe Greco, and the President of the Court for Patients’ Rights, Francesca Motta, who is also participating in the digital and the functional literacy course. Cecilia Stajano, School Innovation Coordinator and Community Manager at the Fondazione Mondo Digitale, participated via Skype to greet all the participants in this new challenge.

The Court for Patients’ Rights in Catania manages a helpdesk open to all citizens at the local ASP (Via S. Maria la Grande 3). In 2006, the court received a gold medal for public health services from the President of the Italian Republic.
