After Milan and Naples, it’s Rome’s turn to host young female coders. Tomorrow – Wednesday, November 23 - the Phyrtual Innovation Gym will host the final leg of the Coding Girls Educational Marathon, promoted by the Fondazione Mondo Digitale and the American Embassy in Italy in collaboration with Microsoft.
Over 170 young women are expected to participate in the third hackathon, which will be held from 9 am to 6 pm. Flavia Marzano, Rome Councillor, will present the awards.
The team of digital coaches will be headed by Emily Thomforde, Code Educator and Science Technology Engineering Art and Mathematics (STEAM) Specialist, includes five senior coaches from the Phyrtual Innovation Gym: Manuela Benedetti, Lara Forgione, Giorgia Di Tommaso, Cecilia Lalatta Costerbosa and Valentina Gelsomini.
The tour, which began in Milan last week and then moved to Naples, is in Rome since last Monday. Today, the last “practice session” will be held at the Liceo Amedeo Avogrado and at IIS Via Roma in Guidonia Montecelio.
