Youth at Risk

Today, in Brussels, the European Commission will launch the Digital Skills and Jobs Coalition, an initiative that brings together all the parties and member states interested in closing the digital competences gap in Europe.

The launch of the Digital Skills and Jobs Coalition is one of the actions planned by the New Skills Agenda for Europe, presented last June. It is a strategic plan in ten actions to implement over the course of two years to address the lack of competences that can determine unemployment, poverty and social exclusion.

Mirta Michilli, Director General of the Fondazione Mondo Digitale, will participate in the work session dedicated to "Digital Skills and School Education" today at 2 pm.

The works will be opened by Tibor Navracsics, EU Commissioner for Education, Culture, Youth Policy and Citizenship [see Conference Programme].

In her address, Mirta Michilli will illustrate the actions of the Fondazione Mondo Digitale, in partnership with other organisations, to guarantee the social and digital inclusion of youth at risk in situations of greater need (school dropouts, NEETs, etc.).
