Managers, teachers and students are invited to participated in the Global Junior Challenge (GJC) and the Special Tullio De Mauro Award by submitting projects or describing their school experience during the heath emergency. The deadline for candidatures is May 31, 2021.

While the GJC database continues to grow (so far, we have 4000 proposals from 9 editions), we are starting to take a look at the stories and projects.

Today, we are in Rome’s 15th District. It’s as large as Pisa and as populated as Ravenna.

Amongst the many initiatives developed by Elisamarzia Vitaliano, who directs the Istituto comprensivo Saverio Nitti in Rome, there also is an editorial project, a book entitled “Continua tu… Storie inventate ai tempi del Coronavirus” (You Continue … Stories Invented During the Coronavirus) published by Erickson.

The volume is based on a story invented by the director and continued through the contributions of 100 students. The objective was to document the impressions and emotions of students during the pandemic, because “their thoughts witness much suffering, but also hope in the future,” explains Elisamarzia Vitaliano.
