The Fondazione Mondo Digitale continues to collaborate with the Anti-Bullying Centre at the University of Dublin through a new Erasmus+ Project on “DisAbuse: Disablist Bullying - Experience into Change, providing the right support services". The partnership includes: Institute of Art & Design Technology (Ireland), Instituto Universitario de Lisboa (Portugal) and Universidad de Murcia (Spain).
The aim of the 24-month project is to develop and test new interactive courses for experts and educators to prevent and contrast bullying, with a special focus on special needs students. The course aims to provide participants and over 100 special needs students with new competences and models for inclusive socialization.
During the course of the project, each partner will share its good practices. The Fondazione Mondo will share the innovative Lego Serious Play methodology for didactics.
Activities
- Research on bullying and special needs – legislation, policies, awareness raising and contrast actions – will be conducted by every partner on good practices and case studies. The Instituto Universitario de Lisboa will coordinate this activity.
- The Universidad de Murcia will assist partners in the study and analysis of the educational needs of experts, professors, trainers and students with special needs in terms of awareness raising, prevention and contrasting the phenomena related to their disabilities.
- Develop accessible multimedia didactic modules for educators and students on bullying, causes and intervention models with guidelines, and courses to implement these strategies (support, socialization, communication, etc.).
- Test each partner’s educational system for experts, professors, trainers and students with special needs.
- Develop a multimedia platform to share material and good practices. This will be coordinated by the Institute of Art & Design Technology.
- The communication strategy will be managed by the Fondazione Mondo Digitale, including the organization of four international conferences (Ireland, Spain, Portugal and Italy).
Experts, educators, professors and anyone else interested in the course, either individually or with their students, as well as parents who wish to have their children participate in the project, should contact a.mazzucato@mondodigitale.org
