Yesterday, the Costa Diadema Cruise Ship in the Port of Palermo hosted the final event of Women in Technology, the programme designed by the Fondazione Mondo Digitale and the Costa Crociere Foundation to promote the educational and professional success of young women, especially in Italian regiosn with the highest youth unemployment rates.
The original training course for women involved 220 students from Sicily, Calabria, Campania and Lazio. For over one year, the young women worked to develop their business ideas related to travel, developing prototypes in Fab Labs and looking for potential investors through crowdfunding campaigns on Phyrtual.org.
Fourteen projects participated in yesterday’s final round with Iolanda Riolo, Mobility and Innovation Councillor, City of Palermo.
