Emanuele Marino, Saverio Asciutto and Maurizio Marrara were present at the Calabrian pitch tour organised by Women in Technology, a project promoted by the Costa Crociere Foundation. They are three professionals from the Fab Lab Reggio Calabria who volunteered to help the competing teams to “perfect their presentation for the jury and identify the strengths and weaknesses of their proposals.”

On the site of the digital manufacturing lab, they describe how they were “pleasantly surprised by the smart and helpful ideas conceived by the young women to improve travel” [see news: Women Technology Pitch Tour].

A video interview by Cecilia Stajano [@CStajano], Project Coordinator and School Innovation Manager for the Fondazione Mondo Digitale:

If we continue to read the post, we discover that …

The Reggio Calabria Fab Lab aims to support projects that have been selected by a jury and that will receive a small monetary award to implement a prototype; however, the Fab Lab also provides resources to all motivated and interested teams that wish to develop their ideas.

WIT in Reggio Calabria was an excellent educational activity for these young women who were introduced to the working world and, with the support of the Costa Crociere Foundation, the Fondazione Mondo Digitale and the Reggio Calabria Fab Lab, were able to experiment new dynamic activities to create a product that can be “sold” on the global market.

Thanks to the Reggio Calabria Fab Lab!
