The Fondazione Mondo Digitale has once again organized the “I Am There” solidarity football match – now at its 7th edition - to celebrate the United Nations’ World Refugee Day.
The appointment is for Monday, June 20 at 4:45 pm at the Centro sportivo dell'Istituto Santa Maria di Roma on Via Matteo Boiardo 28 (Manzoni metro stop).
The event will begin with the three-way meet amongst the young football players for the “I Am There” Trophy and continue with the match between young refugees in Rome and Roman students.
The young students from various Roman football clubs will open the day with a three-way meet to introduce them to the issue of integration through sports without frontiers. This will be followed by a match between Roman students and young refugees in Rome’s SPRAR facility. The FMD’s Phyrtual Innovation Gym makers will also be on the pitch.
The event is promoted by the Centro studi e ricerche Idos, Liberi Nantes, the first football team composed of forced migration victims, Shoot 4 Change, a platform bringing together photographers, artists and designers to contribute to improve the life of others and the PìùCulture magazine and association. The event media partner, Radio Sapienza, will streamcast the event.
