How will the new school year begin in September? “Our main objective is to develop the conditions necessary to ensure proximate learning in school, in classes, labs, cafeterias, gyms service areas, courtyards and gardens, in all schools. We need to build (and rebuild) the social and relational conditions that provide the vital humus for learning, growth and development amongst the new generations,” writes the Head of Department of the Ministry of Education Stefano Versari in a circular to schools.

“We are aware that the pandemic emergency is not over, that it’s course is variable and that for the world of school is fundamental to understand, share and custom tailor the technical indications provided by the health authorities to their local contexts,” states the circular. In the meantime, the Ministry of Education has transmitted an operative note to schools with indications from the Technical-Scientific Committee on how to begin the next school year, 2021-22.

As usual, we will once again be there with new proposals and free courses to reinforce curricular didactics.

In the meantime, here is the final agenda before the summer break. We would like to once again mention two research projects that require the help of parents and students. We invite all students to collaborate in an international research project on risky behaviour on-line [see news: Announcement for Students]. Parents, instead, are invited to participate in the study to orient the new generations towards jobs without stereotypes [see news: Announcement for Parents].

We are also looking for teachers and students (aged 12-17) to test the prototype of a learning game app. Erasmus+ Project “Knights of the European Grail” is cofounded by the European Union [see news: Amidst Game and Mystery].

Also, as we approach the end of the month, we wish to remind you that deadline for project submission and candidatures to the International Global Junior Challenge dedicated to Tullio De Mauro is July 31.
