We’ve have reached the last weeks of school, which based on regional calendars, will end between June 5 and 16. However, schools will be able to host courses based on the summer plan published by the Ministry of Education from June to September [see: Summer School Plan 2021].
Our support activities will continue in blended fashion, based on local contexts. This week’s virtual labs include the following projects: Ambizione Italia for Youth, Coding Girls, OpenSPACE, Social Hosting Hub, and Fully Enjoy the Internet.
Some labs will be held in presence for OpenSPACE in Phyrtual Innovation Gyms in participating schools.
Service projects involving all citizens to improve digital, functional and soft skills include Ambizione Italia for Youth (COL users), Starting Back Up Together, Job Digital Lab, School of Internet for Everyone and Vagone FMD. From 01 to 100.
The cycle of on-line seminars dedicated to soft skills for the labour market continue with the Rome Youth Information Centre - Informagiovani Rome Capitale. And this week also marks the beginning of our collaboration with Porta Futuro and the City of Bari. The first courses will be open to everyone [see news: Porta Futuro in Bari].
In particular, this week’s appointments include a roundtable on “The Women’s Pandemic: A Pathway to Recovery” promoted by Facebook. The appointment is for tomorrow – Tuesday, May 25, at 10:50 am – with a live stream on the Binario F Facebook Page with Mirta Michilli, Director General, Fondazione Mondo Digitale.
We would also like to share some events involving long-standing FMD partners:
- in collaboration with EU Code Week, Google has organised an introductory coding seminar based on "Animate a Name" in Italian. The seminar will be held on Tuesday, May 25 2-3 pm. We invite all primary and first-degree secondary school teachers to participate and learn more about IT, Scratch and the free CS First Platform.
- Tomorrow, Tuesday, May 25, there will also be the second appointment of Education by Inspiration, the cycle of meetings launched by Sistema Invitalia Startup to increase enterprise culture through successful testimonials. The meeting on “Great Idea! What Next?” will be held at 5:30 pm. Register here.
- On Wednesday, May 26, the Rome Campus Bio-Medico University and the Istituto tecnico agrario G. Garibaldi will sign a framework agreement, at the presence of Minister Patrizio Bianchi, for the creation of a food education sector.
- Also on Wednesday, May 26, at 4 pm, there will be the final day of #mappaRomeLab, PCTO with the Department of Economics – Rome Tre University. Students from the Luigi Einaudi, F. Enriques, Goffredo Mameli and Orazio schools will present the results of their interviews on the quality of life in ten urban areas of Rome: Aurelio Sud, Casalotti Primavalle, Casal Palocco, Ostia antica, Ostia Nord, Acilia Nord and Parioli. The event will be streamed live on FB and on the YouTube Channel of the Department of Economics at Rome Tre University.
- Technological partner Dell invites you to participate in “Digital & Leadership Talks 2.0,” organised by Dwen, Chapter Italia! on Tuesday, June 8 from 9:00 to 10:30 (Register here). There will be a welcome kit for the first 100 registered women.
We also invite you to spread the word that, due to the ongoing health emergency, the deadline for project submission and candidatures to the International Global Junior Challenge dedicated to Tullio De Mauro has been extended to July 31.
