Students from the 157° Circolo didattico di Torrimpietra used the Waka Waka rhythm to explain Project Digital Bridge and their digital twinning with the Government primary Nchenfem school in Fontem, Cameroon to the residents of Fiumicino.
“Dance and song allow children to learn through play,” explains Marinella Immernino, the coordinating teacher for the project. “New technology applied to didactics can help children become global citizens.”
Parents and residents, including Giovanna Onorati, Culture and Schools Councillor for Fiumicino, attended the event.
Martin Nkafu, President of the Lebialem Association for Twinning of Schools (LATS) and Alessio Neri for the Fondazione Mondo Digitale were also present.
The next school year will be inaugurated with a grand event held in videoconference with Cameroon.
