Virtual Journey in Time

On Wednesday, October 27, from 4 to 6 pm, there will be the first “Live Training Session with Experts” organised by Project Job Digital Lab – Training to Get Back in Action. The second edition of the project, launched on October 20 by the Fondazione Mondo Digitale and ING Italia, aims to provide custom-tailored education based on the needs of individuals and local communities, providing innovative tools and resources for sustainable growth.

The first session will address “Digital Technology and Cultural Heritage” in collaboration with the Department of Architecture at the Roma Tre University and four experts:

This will be followed by a short interactive session to experiment with the augmented reality technology applied to studies and the conservation of cultural heritage. The session will include a virtual visit in history, produced by research at the Department, that will allow participants to visualise augmented information on their devices, including ancient graphic documents. In particular, two historical proposals are available: 17th-19th-century drawings of the Pantheon and the fake cupola of Sant’Ignazio in Rome, painted by Andrea Pozzo in 1685.

The use of technology will be addressed by Marco Brocchieri, an expert from the Fondazione Mondo Digitale, will show participants how Arduino, drones and 3D surveying techniques can be used to promote digital communication on the Italian cultural heritage.

The afternoon session, which is organised in collaboration with the Rome Council Smart & Heart Rome Project, will include specialised sessions and activities to develop and reinforce digital skills and to understand the digital transformation underway in the working world.

The event will be held in hybrid mode:

  • Proximate: at the Rome Città Educativa, organised by the Fondazione Mondo Digitale, with a maximum of 40 participants.
  • On-line on the Zoom Platform, free access.
