In the Virtual Classrooms

Operation Digital Risorgimento, the programme promoted by TIM, continues with the School of Internet for Everyone, for residents of all ages in all regions. No specific skills are required to participate, although participants should know how to use their own digital devices to surf the web and wish to learn about new tools.

There will be 14 virtual classrooms this week attended by 320 citizens. Let’s take a closer look at these students. The majority are women (58%) and mostly over-65s (51.24%). The 55-64 age group represents nearly 28% of participants, while the 45-54 group reaches 11%.

Over 23% of participants have a degree and 58% a diploma, while 22% only have a middle school certificate.

As you may surmise from their age, over half of the participants are retired. In terms of work, 17% are employees, while only 5% are professionals or independent. And 9% are seeking new IT skills to improve their chances of employment.

Public and private organisations that wish to enrol their employees in courses should write to ord@mondodigitale.org or contact their regional coordinators.
