According to the Permanent Censis-Ital Communication Observatory on communications agencies in Italy, four and a half million Italians rely solely on social networks for information, without cross-checking the information with other sources. These citizens are especially exposed to fake news that influences their vision of the world and conditions their choices and behaviour. In fact, fake news is an obstacle to the development of mindful opinions.
