Google and Programme Fully Enjoy the Internet invite children and pre-adolescents to Interland, a fantastic world to learn about on-line security whilst having fun. This weekend, June 20-21, young web surfers aged 6-13 will be able to explore the world of the Internet with the first Interland Labs. Together with their parents, they will participate in 40-minute, free, on-line labs under the supervision of Nicoletta Vulpetti, expert communication educator [see press release and declarations of partners].
Participate together with your children in Interland: Fully Enjoy the Internet!
Saturday, June 20 and Sunday, June 21
11.00-11.40 | 12.00-12.40 | 2.00-2.40 | 3.00-3.40
The Interland game was created with the help of digital security experts and is suitable for all age groups, although it focuses on children aged 6-13. It is free, interactive and available at: g.co/interland
The imaginary world of Interland includes four territories: River of Reality, Reign of Kindness, Treasure Tower and Mount Responsibility. Children have to face hackers, phishers, loud mouths and bullies, using skills such as awareness, responsibility and commitment to become upright digital citizens.
Interland is part of Programme Fully Enjoy the Internet, launched by Google in 2018 to help young men and women and their families to responsibly use the Internet. The project, promoted by Safer Internet Centre – Connected Generations to raise awareness and increase understanding of the Internet and new technology, also features the participation of “Altroconsumo” for the activities dedicated to parents.
The section dedicated to teachers was developed in collaboration with the Fondazione Mondo Digitale.
