Thanks to the commitment of Headmaster Irene de Angelis Curtis and the help of Professors Emanuela De Marco e Anna Paola Ottaviani, the Fondazione Mondo Digitale has extended the Microsoft IT Academy Programme also to the evening classes held at IIS Leonardo Da Vinci in Rome.
“The evening courses are mostly attended by students aged twenty and above. Many of the students work in the Lazio Region and expect to acquire social and professional promotion on the workplace.” (from Piano dell’Offerta formativa 2015-2016).
Schools that join the IT Academy Programme help their students acquire certified IT skills that are particularly important to adult students and students of foreign origin.
In the interviews, Ana Lain speaks to the two professors about their decisions and what results they expect.
"We believe that education must be accompanied by specific certifications that are recognized throughout Europe.” Prof Emanuela De Marco strongly believes that a traditional diploma is no longer sufficient and that certifications represent an extra boost to access the working world.
“An IT certification is very attractive on the job market,” explains.
Anna Paola Ottaviani, IT teacher at the evening courses. “And our adult students are capable of understanding the significance of this opportunity.”
