"It’s an amazing experience!" Simone arrived from Lebanon and Nikhil from India. For three weeks, they organised the mornings at the English Summer Camp with activities and games in English for the 45 young participants.
It also was a fantastic experience for Simone and Nikhil, as all too evident in the videos by Eleonora Curatola.
"We tried to incorporate technology into our English lessons,” write Simone and Nikhil in their final report. "For example, we developed a game to teach the children the English alphabet and new words with the Bee Bot and we used a fun app on the tablet to increase their linguistic skills through learning by doing. Moreover, to make the activities more stimulating, we used Lego bricks and a Stop Motion editing programme that allowed the children to created videos and stories in English. Our work experience at the FMD was excellent and all our colleagues were incredibly supportive and professional.”
The third and last week at the English Summer Camp ended last Friday for 15 children, who experimented with digital making at the Fab Lab, creating objects with the 3D printer and laser-cutting characters to stories they animated with Hue Animation Studio.
