Massimiliano Tarantino, Head of Communication Projects for Telecom Italia, summarised the company mission at the Opificio Telecom: making technology simpler and easier to use.
“The partnership with the Fondazione Mondo Digitale has been very useful. The work we have done has brought elders and youth closer together in a extraordinary process of lifelong learning and dialogue. We are proud to be here today.”
Massimiliano Tarantino then explained how the Telemouse experience has helped to vanquish three myths: technology is scary, elders are not interested in Internet and new technology and the young are not interested about elders. “All of these are false and we have proved it with this project. Now, we are ready for a new challenge with Project Telemouse 3.0 – Knowledge Volunteers: calling on all young volunteers who want to keep exchanging experiences with the elderly.
