The Rome Phyrtual Innovation Gym is hosting the experimental teacher training programme on "Robotics, Tinkering, Coding and Making." The course includes two tracks for a total of 20 hours.
The first track includes two types of labs: STEM with Lego We Do 2.0 for primary school teachers and Coding and Robotics with LEGO® Mindstorms EV3 for first-degree secondary school teachers. The second track includes three to five labs based on the Tinkering Coding Making project-lab developed with the Centro Studi Erickson.
Today, teachers at the Istituto Comprensivo Viale dei Consoli will work with the Lego® Mindstorm EV3 kit to build and programme medium-complexity robots with special project instructions. The Lego® visual programming language derived from the National Instruments Labview, allows users to acquire more complex competences than We Do 2.0, including parallel programming.
