The Phyrtual Innovation Gym continues to host experiential storytelling laboratories with coding and immersive tools dedicated to young women aged 6-16 in Italian schools, especially in the Lazio Region.
Project “BYE: Build Your Experience” allowed the Fondazione Mondo Digitale to clinch a Google RISE Award, one of the grants that Google for Education reserves to non-profit organizations around the world to promote the diffusion of STEM subjects (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) amongst youth with less access to the study of these disciplines.
Today, at the lab held by Lara Forgione, young female programmers from IC Parco della Vittoria, chaperoned by Prof Daniela Di Donato, will learn about storytelling techniques with Scratch and how to develop the story into a 2D game.
They will learn the basic rules of storytelling and the logic behind icon programming to develop 2D videogames, experimenting the efficiency of immersive tools.
