Project Share School, which is promoted with Olivetti, kicked off last week. The project will create a new area at the Rome Phyrtual Innovation Gym with Robotics, Making and Coding labs to experiment new learning styles and methodologies, as well as organise a coding marathon to design innovative solutions for didactics 4.0 and an original new "Robotics Factory" at RomeCup 2019
In this short interview, Gaetano di Tondo, Institutional and External Relations Manager at Olivetti, explains how Project Share School is part of the initiative that Olivetti dedicates to training and education, confirms the company’s constant commitment to provide accessible technological tools to professors, students and families, as well as to promote a strategic digital culture for the development of Italy. Project activities kicked off last Friday in the digital environments at the Phyrtual Innovation Gym.
PROJECT PROFILE
Project “Share School” has been developed by the Fondazione Mondo Digitale and Olivetti to provide immersive courses for students and teachers, prepare Italian schools for the challenge of the future and accelerate the digital transformation of Italy.
Practical labs in the digital environments at the Phyrtual Innovation Gym, coding marathons, communications campaigns and robotics challenges … participants will become part of an open community of developers to learn how to programme service apps with professional tools.

The project involves 1500 teachers and students from all types of schools.

OBJECTIVES
- Develop innovative solutions for the future of school;
- Strengthen the digital and transversal competences of students and teachers.
- Promote the introduction of students to coding.
- Reveal the positive impact of coding on personal and professional development for the younger generations.

- Promote an active, aware and critical approach to technology.
ACTIVITIES
- Open a space dedicated to Share School at the Phyrtual Innovation Gym (Via del Quadraro 102).
- Coding, making and robotics labs in the Gym’s digital environments.
- Practical activities with the Microninja Kit for younger children.
- Coding marathon for teams of students, professors, makers and creatives to develop processes and products for transversal, multi-disciplinary and custom-tailored didactic activities.
- Communication campaign on social networks for the protagonists of digital school transformation.
- Olivetti participation in RomeCup 2019 (April 2-5) with an original robotic factory, demo stands and labs.
