THE STORIES

 

Rosaria Talarico

A professional journalist and army reserve officer, Rosaria has collaborated with major Italian dailies and magazines, winning a number of awards. She has also worked as a strategic consultant and as a ministry spokesperson. Specialised in media training and crisis communication and with a degree in Communications from Sapienza University of Rome, Rosaria attended a Leadership Programme at Lehigh university in Pennsylvania. She has held lessons at: SDA Bocconi, Sapienza University, the University of Pavia and the Scuola superiore Sant’Anna in Pisa. After having travelled around the world, Rosaria decided to found the Fattoria Brigantesca.

 

 

Tania Ruffa

Tania Ruffa is 36 years old and comes from Drapia. She returned to Calabria after ten years in Milan and then Rome, where she graduated in Political Science. She has recently decided to open a restaurant in downtown Tropea together with a partner. Tania mainly deals with digital communications for politics and public administrations, as well as managing social media activities on Facebook and Instagram.

 

 

 

Miriam Pugliese

Miriam Pugliese is 29 and comes from San Floro, a small town with 600 residents in the Province of Catanzaro. Her parents emigrated to Gallarate (Varese) shortly after her birth. After graduating from Malpensa as a hostess, she moved to Germany, but her heart was still in Calabria. She found an ally in Domenico Vivino, also from San Floro, who lives in Naples. Together, they planned to start a silk production farm, an occupation that made Catanzaro the European silk capital between fourteenth and eighteenth centuries. They manage a 5-hectare public property with over 3000 mulberry trees and a silk museum hosted in a castle, all of which need to be renovated. In 2014, with Domenico and another business partner, Giovanna Bagnato, an artist and long-time firned, they founded the “Nido di Seta” Cooperative. Everybody says we’re crazy, but …

 

 

Domenica Mamone

Domenica Mamone is 53 years old and lives in Tropea, where she teaches English at a Primary School. She loves travelling, photography and reading. Since 2000, she also manages the social profiles for the family-run Tropis Hotel, a four-star establishment with a Wellness Facility. She firmly believes that creating relations amongst individuals with common interests can help to “intercept” ne clients. She promotes the hotel scientifically, targeting her audience with services, events and special offers. She also likes to publish informative posts and posts that promote the fantastic location with photos and phrases that attract attention and help to increase the visits to their social profiles and website.

 

 

 

 

Ortensia Imbrogno

Ortensia, who works with marketing, communications and social media, defines herself as an “ambitious, precise and reliable woman.” She has been working and studying since she was eighteen. She is passionate about digital tools. Her Socratic motto is “knowledge frees us.”
