Space Apps Challenge

The Space Apps Challenge is back. The 48-hour marathon promoted by NASA, the largest global hackathon dedicated to space, will be held on Saturday, April 29 and Sunday, April 30 in 170 cities around the world, involving thousands of people on every continent.

 

As part of the International Open Government Partnership Initiative, the Space Apps Challenge aims to bring together people with transversal competences to develop projects for space. Facing the event challenges requires a variety of know-how from robotics to aeronautics, design to data visualization, technical skills to business skills. The initiative seeks designers, artists, entrepreneurs, students and interested parties, independently of their personal background or level of competence.

 

How to Participate

Participation is free and open to all enthusiasts of any age or background. The event begins on Saturday, April 29 at 8:30 am and ends on Sunday, April 30 at 7:00 pm with the announcement of the local winners.

 

Teams can be created at any time from now until the day of the event with Telegram Bot that will soon be made available. Each team will have to choose one of the challenges proposed at: 2017.spaceappschallenge.org/challenges.

 

At least one person on each team must be able to speak English well as all the information on the challenge will be in this language and will be used on Sunday morning to present the projects.

 

From lunch on Saturday to lunch on Sunday, all meals will be provided by the university cafeteria. And if you wish to stay to sleep or work overnight, bring a sleeping bag and a mat!
