In this interview by Eleonora Curatola during the first challenge held at the Phyrtual Innovation Gym (March 29, 2017), Andrea, Rocco and Mirko, students at IIS Grottaminarda in Avellino, explain how the smart backpack to simplify the lives of moms works.
Here is how the three students described their project to the jury.
A Life Simplifying Backpack
Imagine a mom who in the morning must prepare breakfast, clothes and backpacks for all her children, as quickly as possible, with the near certainty of forgetting something… Now imagine a backpack that know which books it needs and which have been forgotten. Wouldn’t this decrease stress? A smartphone connected to the Internet connects to the students schedule at school and communicates this to the backpack which then uses NFC to check that all the right books have been packed. Moreover, it could also be connected to our smartphone agenda to understand everything we need for the afternoon.
