For the fifth consecutive year, the Bambini+diritti social promotion association is organizing the Saharawi Reception 2010 Project which will host 10 young ambassadors of peace from the refugee camps in the Algerian desert in Rome until August 21.
The photos taken by Cristian Gennari in the Wilaya of Aaiun address the new generations, those who benefit from the projects that have been implemented locally.
In fact, together with the Bambini+diritti Association, the Fondazione Mondo Digitale is implementing the second phase of Project Digital Bridge, a technological bridge with the Saharawi People.
Project Digital Bridge has already extended the Internet to the Wilaya of Aaiun (one of the four large villages of tents and the administrative province in the Western Sahara) and now the refugees can make themselves heard worldwide. Project Digital Bridge will bring technological infrastructures, technical assistance, didactic plans and professional training to the Saharawi. The e-inclusion project, which is now in phase 2, is financed by the Lazio Region, coordinated by the Fondazione Mondo Digitale and implemented locally by the Bambini+Diritti Association.
