She Means Business, the global Facebook Programme implemented in Italy in collaboration with the Fondazione Mondo Digitale, returns to Catania today with a special free course for women.
The initiative will be hosted by the University of Catania, the Department of Humanities (DISUM) and the Officine Culturali Association with the support of various local organisations: Orientation, Education and Placement Centre – University of Catania, Contamination Lab – University of Catania, Compagnia delle Opere Sicilia Orientale, Youth Hub Catania and Generazione Ypsilon.
The course will begin at 9 am at the Benedictine Monastery, which hosts the University of Catania Department of Humanities, with Coach Margherita Bruno, digital promoter for Project Digital Enterprise Point, who will meet with women interested in learning more about social tools and strategies to promote their activities.
Over 90 women have registered for the course. Their average age is 32, lower than usual. In fact, 30% are students and only 13% are looking for employment. Twenty-six of them already run an enterprise.
