Today, Senator Mariapia Garavaglia visited the Digital Angels’ Stand in the Galleria Alberto Sordi and congratulated the Roman students.

"There is a part of Italy that functions and works for everyone’s good. The Internet brings generations together and helps schools open up to society. It is a real fortune for our city and our country,” the senator explained amidst the elders and tutors from the schools participating in the Grandparents on the Internet project promoted by the Fondazione Mondo Digitale.

During the five-day Web Festival (Feb. 7-11), tutors will serve as knowledge volunteers throughout the city.

The Network of Knowledge Volunteers is sponsored by the Ministry of Youth and promoted by the Fondazione Mondo Digitale and Telecom Italia through the first edition of the Telemouse 3.0 Award.

During the Web Festival, elders strolling by will be able to take advantage of the laboratory stands and learn about the many practical, useful, daily opportunities provided by the Internet: from free worldwide video calls to the universe of digital photography. The services provided by simple technology and the Internet can help anyone.
