Schools Remain Closed

Even today - Tuesday, October 30 - all schools in Rome will remain closed. Following the Regione Lazio’s “Bulletin of Critical Hydrogeological and Hydraulic Issues,” which indicates the continued bad weather, Mayor Virginia Raggi signed a further order for the suspension of all educational and school activities in all schools, including kindergartens and cribs, throughout the City of Rome [see City of Rome Alert (in Italian): Maltempo, anche oggi scuole chiuse per gli studenti. COC aperto, interventi in corso, sale operative in funzione].

Naturally, all the activities planned by the Fondazione Mondo Digitale both at the Phyrtual Innovation Gym and in schools are suspended, too [see news by the ANSA Press Agency (in Italian): Maltempo: scuole chiuse in molte città da nord a sud].

Due to the continuing bad weather, authorities have renewed their call for people not to move around, insofar as possible, even to expedite any required rescue operations.

The Fondazione Mondo Digitale’s scheduled activities with schools will begin again as soon as the weather alert ends.
