The Innovation Gyms in the tenth episode of Smart City on Gold TV
‘The Innovation Gyms project is one of the pillars of the Smart City idea we have in mind [...] I have participated in many inaugurations of these gyms that have been opened in suburban areas and never before as on that occasion did I realise how families, for the first time through their relationship with their children, have understood the importance of the technological change that is powerfully entering the life of each of us and they are able to understand it precisely because through their children they are probably able to understand its creations and understand how programming today becomes a tool to make, let's say, an application on our mobile phone become reality... we saw the robots moving around, drones in flight [...] The Foundation has also involved very important organisations, such as the European Space Agency [...]’, said Riccardo Corbucci, city councillor of Rome, during the tenth episode of the programme Roma Smart City, presented by Luca Bedini with Silvia Roberto and broadcast on Gold Tv, a regional television channel (channel 11).
The focus of the episode, which aired last Thursday, 13 February, was the collective story of the Smart & Heart Rome project. In the studio, in addition to Riccardo Corbucci, there was also Carla Fermariello, president of the School Commission of Roma Capitale, Cecilia Stajano, community manager for the Fondazione Mondo Digitale, and two students from the 4th AT class of Einstein Bachelet, Marzio Rossetti and Cristian Mancini, accompanied by their teacher Mina Luiso.
The students presented the Agribot-A.r.i.a. prototype, which uses Arduino technology to detect environmental pollution. The prototype, created in collaboration with researchers from the University of Tuscia as part of a course on transversal skills and orientation, was presented at the last edition of the RomeCup.
