The Galileo Galilei School, a historical industrial institute in Rome, has stood on the podium at RomeCup for ten times in the Soccer category. At RomeCup 2019, which was held on April 2-5, the school fielded two teams - SPQR1and SPQR2 – coordinated by Prof. Carmine Tarraborrelli.

Here are some of the interviews recorded by Ilaria Bonanni at the Rome Campidoglio during the finals. The faces and voices of the young men and women fully express the spirit of RomeCup that transforms schools, entices students to study, work collaboratively and challenge knowledge.

Emanuele is the Captain of Team SPQR2, which also includes Achille, Emanuele, Siria and Dario. The team won RomeCup 2019 in the Soccer Light Weight Category and has earned the right to participate in the World Robotics Championships in Australia. Backstage, while the robotics workshops are fine-tuning the final details, Emanuele tells us about his experience and the value of an event like RomeCup dedicated to robotics.

Victoria is eighteen years old and enthusiastic about robotics and automation. At RomeCup 2019, she represents Team SPQR1.

Victoria and Arafat, both 20 and members of Team SPQR1, are repairing a striker. Robotics is an "anti-discipline" because it brings together competences from very different sectors and requires collaborative work.

Team SPQR2 receives the award.
