“Keep in touch” and “We are here” are two memes of the distance schooling  promoted by the Istituto comprensivo di Sarzana ISA13, headed by Antonio Fini.

Today, we share with you the second part of the long telephone conversation that the Headmaster had with Cecilia Stajano [for the first part see news: School on Local TV].

"The challenge is to contact 1600 families. We are still trying to reach some families. Didactic activities cannot be limited to platforms, especially for younger children. We also need to work over phones, on one-to-one relationships,” explains the Headmaster.

"We have to try to use the simplest technology possible for each situation and, at present, TV is the best solution.” This is had led to Project “School Does Not Stop - TLS,” a joint initiative by Tele Liguria Sud, the Liguria Regional School Department and some schools in the Province of Spezia.

In the second part of the conversation, the Headmaster also speaks about the first on-line class meetings and the effects of distance learning on the behaviour of the youngest children, as well as the methodologies that teachers have adopted to present educational content. Distance schooling wins when everyone learns to share.
