In order to make sure that elders are not abandoned during the health emergency, coaches at the Fondazione Mondo Digitale are teaching their grandchildren how to help their grandparents stay connected with friends and relatives through simple on-line operations from home.

The first session will be streamed live on YouTube today (11-12) by Cristiana Zambon.

How can fonts be enlarged for easier reading? How are videocalls made? The first “Mission Grandparents” will include instructions on how to use WhatsApp to send and receive messages, add emoticons, and share photos and audio messages.

The live training sessions are part of Project Maestri d'Italia promoted by TIM as part of the national Operation Digital Risorgimento programme. The sessions will be held on Mondays (11-12) and are also available on smartphone. It’s “family format” education.
