The public service broadcaster accompanies the event with in-depth interviews
For the 18th edition of the RomeCup, whose theme is ‘What's next? Human and artificial intelligence. Challenges for holistic well-being’, we have signed a media partnership with Rai News, which is producing an in-depth marathon to inform the general public about the challenges and opportunities opened up by the encounter between human and artificial intelligence.
Rai News, the public service radio and television news channel, is one of Italy's leading all-news channels and a point of reference for continuous news and in-depth analysis. It reports on the transformations of contemporary society, with a particular focus on emerging technologies, education, active citizenship and social innovation. For years, it has followed initiatives such as the RomeCup with interest, helping to make information accessible and participatory. This year's marathon dedicated to RomeCup 2025 contributes to spreading a broad and understandable narrative of artificial intelligence and its social implications.
The marathon is giving a voice to researchers, institutions, students, teachers, entrepreneurs and innovators. The services focus on the applications of artificial intelligence and robotics in the most strategic sectors for the well-being of society: cognitive robotics, digital health, security, environmental sustainability and education.
Among the contributions, we would like to highlight the interview with scientific director Alfonso Molina, who reflects on the role of artificial intelligence as an amplifier of human intelligence and on the need for a systemic, inclusive and transformative educational vision [watch the interview].
Ample space is also dedicated to the RomeCup as seen from the territories, with a report by the regional editorial staff of TGR Lazio broadcast yesterday, which recounts the enthusiasm of the students, the excitement in the demonstration area and the value of the event as an incubator of talent and technologies for the common good [watch the report with interviews by Filippo Pala with Massimiliano Fiorucci, Rector of Roma Tre University, Mirta Michilli, Director General of the Fondazione Mondo Digitale, and Manuel Pratelli, CNR researcher].
Thanks to the collaboration with the Rai news programme, RomeCup confirms its status not only as a scientific and educational event, but also as a national observatory on the transformations taking place, capable of promoting a culture of innovation that is inclusive, ethical and oriented towards collective well-being.
