May 7 to 9 at “Roma Tre” University and the Campidoglio.
The new RomeCup website is on-line and constantly being updated for the largest innovation event dedicated to youth – involving schools, universities, research centres, companies, and institutions – with training, orientation, and innovative educational methodologies.
Promoted since 2007 by the Fondazione Mondo Digitale ETS, RomeCup brings young men and women closer to the world of STEM and promotes the development of soft and specialist skills in demand on the job market, skills that are also crucial to address the ethical challenges posed by the growing technological acceleration.
The 18th edition, dedicated to “What’s next? Human and Artificial Intelligence. The Challenges for Holistic Wellbeing,” will be held on May 7-9, 2025, at the “Roma Tre” University and the Campidoglio. The main focus of this edition will be innovation at the service of the integral development of individuals and communities. The event will provide an arena for international experts to debate ethical and transparent solutions for artificial intelligence and robotics, as well as to promote a more inclusive future based on shared values.
The event will also provide an opportunity to learn about the quality of Italian schools and universities in the international context. Every year, the student teams that train for RomeCup earn important recognition in world robotics championships.
For the 18th edition, the Fondazione Mondo Digitale, in collaboration with the Rome “Campus Bio-Medico” University, will promote the third edition of the “Most Promising Researcher in Robotics and AI” Award for researchers and PhD students working on projects in the field of AI and robotics.
As usual, besides the traditional competitions, RomeCup will also host the Italian Superteam Championship for Rescue Line and Soccer, in collaboration with the National Italian RoboCup Junior Committee, and the new challenge dedicated to Robotic Arms. The creative contests, based on collaboration between schools and universities, will present new exciting challenges, reinforcing the bonds between research, education, and innovation.
