The Role of Games

Dublin City University, a long-standing European project partner, has invited us to share this call with Italian teachers: a research project headed by Mattia Mansueto (Institute of Education, DCU) and supervised by Dr. Sinéad McNally with the collaboration of Christina O'Keeffe.

The objective of the research project is to collect the outlooks of primary school teachers on the role of games to support children with special educational needs. In particular, the project is keenly interested in kindergarten and the first two-years of primary school.

Notwithstanding the central role played by games in the first years of our lives and the national and international political interest in supporting developmental games in early childhood, we still now little about the attitudes and practices of teachers in Italian classes. Furthermore, the project also aims to collect the opinions of teachers on the role of games during the pandemic. Participating teachers will allow us to gather precious research data and provide us with an important outlook on games for inclusion in primary education during early childhood.

To participate please complete the following on-line questionnaire (no more than 10 minutes) anonymously.

Information on the results of the survey will be published on the website of Dublin City University and the Early Language and Learning Lab at DCU.
