On November 18-19, 2013, the Officina Emilia will host two days dedicated to theories, models and tools for teaching and learning about Educational Robotics.
 
The workshop on "Robotics and Innovation in Education” (RIE) is organized by Officina Emilia with support from the Marco Biagi Department of Economics, the Department of Education and Human Sciences, the Department of Communication and Economics, the Enzo Ferrari Engineering Department, the Engineering Sciences and Methods Department, as well as the Physics, Mathematics and Computer Science Departments.
 
Two days will be dedicated to comparing the educational activities of schools, museums and universities in terms of Robotics as well as evaluating their contribution to the innovation of educational in general as well as technological and scientific education with an aim to increase professional capabilities and innovating industrial processes both in society and organisations.
 
The activities are organized in sessions that will take place as plenary sessions with speakers representing the main Italian experiences.
 
Mirta Michilli, Director General of the Fondazione Mondo Digitale and Alfonso Molina, Professor of Technology Strategy at the University of Edinburgh and Scientific director of the FMD will open the seminars on the 18th at 10 am with a session on the “Educational and Professional Dimension of Robotics” and the contribution of Robotics to 21st Century Life Education.
