9.30 am: the hall of the Città Educativa is already full. Mirta Michilli, Director General of the Fondazione Mondo Digitale, inaugurates the seventh edition of the RomeCup 2013 – Excellence in Robotics in Rome together with illustrious guests.
 
The event is promoted by the Fondazione Mondo Digitale with the support of the Rome Chamber of Commerce and in collaboration with ANP and Comau Robotics, ENEA, STMicroelectronics, Zucchetti Centro Sistemi and Media Direct.  “La Scuola Possibile” is the official media partner.
 
2 opening debates with important speakers on the future of Robotics and new didactic approaches. 
 
20 didactic laboratories on Robotics for Didactics to explore the world around us and learn about geometry, gears and industrial robots, as well as to discover the competition secretes and acquire competences for the future. Over 800 students participated in the laboratories.
 
30 cases of excellence in the showcase area visited by 1000 individuals.
 
96 teams registered for the competitions from 36 schools and 12 Italian regions. Results from the first day of competitions will soon be on-line.
