In the Protomoteca of the Rome Campidoglio, the two teams competing in the Dance Secondary Category at the ninth edition of the RomeCup, IIS Via Copernico from Pomezia and IIS Modesto Panetti from Bari, improvised a sort of “Super Team,” a variation of a competition that takes place at RoboCup Junior.
It was a coincidence. During the competition, both teams competed to the notes of a Cha Cha that lasted two minutes. So, after the competition, dancer Gianni Bellomo from Team Robopan (ISS Panetti) improvised an interpretation of the famous group dance with a mixed team of robots, together with those programmed by the IIS Via Copernico School. They used the music chosen by the latter team.
Here is a clip of the original performance that was captured by a video camera at RomeCup …
Our congratulations to both teams for having fully embodied the spirit of the RomeCup! And thank you to their coach, Headmaster Angela Gadaleta, and teachers Erica Zarelli, Giovanni Maccarrone and Giuseppe Spalierno. What a SUPER TEAM!
